Dr. Nona Djavid

Founder & Lead Chiropractic Physician

Dr. Nona Djavid is a well-respected and trusted doctor of chiropractic and wellness coach with a private practice in Newport Beach, CA.  Founder and head chiropractor at the Wellness Choice Center, Dr. Djavid is dedicated to the creation of transformative experiences of vitality for her patients, through nutritional counseling, lifestyle changes, and natural alternatives.

A graduate of University of California at Berkeley in the field of Molecular and Cellular Biology with an emphasis in Neurology, Dr. Djavid continued her education at Life Chiropractic College where she earned her post Doctorate studies in Neurology and Chiropractic Biophysics. With a background in neurological sciences she came to understand the nervous systems control over the body. Through her research the importance of the nervous system was evident as the key to the overall health of the body. Specialties of Dr. Djavid include postural correction, and a unique knowledge in extremity adjustments.

Dr. Djavid is also the founder of WOW – Women of Wellness group – an organization that empowers female health care professionals to build healthy caring relationships through education and integrated health and wellness services.

With a state of the art facility at her disposal, educational background and her genuine passion for life, people, and health, Dr. Djavid provides the very best care with intelligence and compassion.

Brittany Howard

Brittany is the newest addition to Wellness Choice Center with an amazing story of her experience with chiropractic care. She had severe nerve pain that ended up causing her to need a wheelchair. After exhausting all types of treatment, she finally went to a consultation at a chiropractic office. By the end of the visit and adjustment she WALKED out of the chiropractic office. "Few people understand that your spine can affect organs and everything else within the body. After completing several chiropractic visits and adjustments, I was able to walk without pain and begin to make myself healthy again!"

Brittany enjoys staying healthy through working out at the beach and eating right. She has a passion for supporting at-risk youth, and is currently a senior at Vanguard University of Southern California getting training to eventually make a difference in children's lives.

In her spare time, she likes to take her dog "Cal" to dog-beach, get together with friends, find new restaurants and shopping spots, travel, and take weekend trips to Lake Havasu, Arizona.

Erin Duffy

Office Manager

Erin comes to Wellness Choice Center with a passion for living well and helping others. She loves being involved in various philanthropic causes. A few that are dear to her heart include Huntingtons Disease Society of America and Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. She has a passion for supporting research to bring awareness and find a cure. It was through this passion that she helped organize and raise over $10,000 alongside with Wellness Choice Center at their Grand Opening. She also enjoys staying healthy through fitness and nutrition.

Erin is a Chiropractic patient and was unaware at first of the many benefits regular visits can bring. Being a hairstylist, she has a physically demanding job and was looking for relief and also wanted to prevent any future postural damage. Through great care and education, Erin has grown to love and support the Chiropractic industry. She enjoys educating and inspiring people on a daily basis and will always greet you with a genuine smile when you walk through our doors!

You can find her in her spare time singing all over the OC and LA at various places from Disneyland to The Jonathan Club. Keep your eye on this one, you might just see her on the next American Idol!

Blake Peterson

Certified Massage Therapist

Blake specializes in sports massage with a holistic approach. He takes pride in his work and strives to provide the best possible massage for every client.

After working for several years in the printing trades, Blake yearned for a healthier profession where he could use his hands and work with people, not machines. A friend convinced him to check out a massage school where he was able to audit a class. He knew then that massage was what he wanted to do with his life.

After 1,400 hours of certification coursework followed by numerous educational seminars and workshops since, Blake has refined his massage technique. In 1995, he earned his Certificate in Massage Therapy from the Mesa Institute School of Massage in Orange County. While he continues to learn and add new approaches to his form of the healing arts, he considers his specialties to be deep tissue and trigger point therapy.

“No two people are exactly alike. Every person has unique stresses in their lives that manifest within their bodies. It's my job to find those physical knots and work them out.”

Blake is an accomplished musician and has been playing bass in a band for more than 19 years. He also manages and plays with an over 30 men’s soccer league. In whatever free time he has left, Blake enjoys spending time with his American Bulldog, Booksta.
